Residents purchase a licence to occupy a unit. This means that they have a lifetime right to occupy the unit, but do not own the actual bricks and mortar or land.
Fees and charges are dependent on the type and size of the unit and also according to legislation contained under the Retirement Villages Act.
As you can appreciate accommodation at Kindred Living Retirement Living Units are keenly sought after. To ensure equitable access for prospective residents, Kindred Living operates a waiting list. By placing your name on the waiting list you are given an option of making an application to move into a Retirement Living Unit when one becomes available.
